A 200 gsm jersey woven in Portugal: what it changes

The Atleïs t-shirt is made from a 200 g/m² cotton jersey, woven in Portugal. Two choices that change the garment's finish and lifespan.

What is 200 g/m²

Weight refers to the fabric's mass per square meter. A standard t-shirt is often between 140 and 180 g/m². At 200 g/m², the jersey is denser: it has structure, the sleeves don't curl, and it keeps its shape wash after wash. It remains supple—it’s not fleece.

Why Portugal

Portugal has a long-standing textile industry close to France. Producing there shortens transport, thus reducing shipping-related emissions. It is also a guarantee of oversight: workshops are governed by European law.

Care

Wash at 30°C, air dry. The fabric is pre-shrunk: the dimensions will not change.

The item is on pre-order, to be delivered no later than January 15, 2027.
